The 21st LEAPS General Assembly was held online via zoom on September 16, 2022. The meeting, chaired by LEAPS Chair Leonid Rivkin, from PSI, involved lively and constructive discussions. All LEAPS members were represented and actively participated in the discussions and decisions. The agenda included topics such as the Task Force ERA and the work being done to follow up with the EC and other stakeholders on EU Partnerships (Hydrogen, Battery, and Advanced Materials) as well as the progress achieved by the group working on the task of transforming LEAPS into an independent legal entity. The nomination and election of the new LEAPS Vice-Chair 2023 was discussed in a closed session. Presentations and discussions happened also around the preparations for the Horizon Europe Workprogram 2023/24 and 2025+. Status reports were presented about the Task Force on Strategic Access and the DIGITAL LEAPS Projects. Finally, a short report about the recent ESUO General Assembly was presented and a few topics about the LEAPS Plenary were discussed an agreed upon.
The next LEAPS General Assembly is scheduled as a face to face meeting on October 28, 2022, 09:00-12:00, at PSI in Switzerland. The meeting will be colocated with the LEAPS Plenary Meeting 2022.
